All the suggestions are geat for simple HTML pages, as are pre-built javascript libraries. But to create dynamic content and to support the new Java specs, database connectivity, and presentation, I have embraced Macromedia's Dreamweaver UltraDev, which supports cold fusion, java, javascript, html, server side applets/includes, as well as any other whiz bangs you wish to enhance the visitors experience. It's built in syntax checkers, HTML clearnup and optimizing utilities are great as well., and no, it is not a Microsoft product. Its cost, however, pretty well precludes its use for less than commercial work, though.

Relax, Boss. We will meet the deadline! What? You want to add MORE? What do you mean, Over Budget?
