In VFP7, the commandbuttons' SpecialEffect property supports "Hot Tracking". In this mode, the button looks like a label unless it either has focus or the mouse is hovering over it. While that doesn't fix the situation in VFP6, having that knowledge might delay your need to fix the problem until VFP7 makes it easy for you.
