We had the exact problem with Grid and Report. The wrong alias was selected. Finally I changed the application to work in separate DS (using Session class) and I didn't have this problem since then. Another solution would be select necessary table in Report DE Init method, but that's not a good one...
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
