Just an update to everyone:
On Friday he called me asking to speak with me. The majority of the conversation remain at a personal level for the most part. The comment that stuck with me the most was, "...it seem's that you're very motivated by money."<g>
My response to him was, "I think everyone, to some degree, is motivated by money." I went on reminding him of his business and the reason he decided to begin it: money. "Whether or not your business has made you money is a different story. However, if your clients stop paying what is your reaction?"
The evening went on-and-on until finally he wrote the check for the full amount owed including the invoice I wrote Thursday night (Net 1 - beat that!).
The project is about 90% complete (literally). I'm planning to write a "white-paper" explaining the struggles the "VB guy" and I had (including our difference of opinions) and how we worked them out. Today the "VB guy" and I are planning future projects with other customers and he's gained new respect for VFP.
I'll keep you guys informed on our project....
p.s. Thanks for your support - here I thought I was being an a-hole.
