Are you referring to the User Preferences screen... the one that asks for the whether or not to use local data, and path settings? If so, that is triggered by a lack of a record flagged as lDefault in the MetaDBC (again, if your lUseDBCMgrMetaData is .T.)

In the new documentation, there's a reference to hiding this form and selecting the default values so as not to confuse your users. Haven't tried this, tho'. Any particular reason you *want* this form to show? Anything involving showing a user path information, especially where it's enabled, is *scaaaaary* to me!
