I currently have a form with a combo box on it for which I initially load one field from a table into it using the rowsource property of alias. I am not binding the box however to any field in a table. I just use it to load data from a table into it for selection purposes.

I noticed, however, that when the form initially runs, no item in this list is initially displayed in the text portion of the combo box. It is blank. When I select an item from the list, the text portion is then updated with whatever I selected from the list. Is there anyway to tell the combo box to initially display the first item in the dropdown list ?

I am currently using VFP 6.0 on W98 SE.
