Thanks for replying. Sorry I was unclear about my problem, I am new to all this.

I have this resolved by using the command: COPY FILE filename TO \\printerpath directly in Visual FoxPro. For some reason this command was not working when we were running Win98 on the workstation with a Novell file server, so the guy who was writing our programs use a batch file. I am having problems running DOS commands from within Visual FoxPro now that I have Win 2000 on my workstation(DOS windows pop up, but read "Bad path of filename"), but I am finding better ways to program those same functions.
