unfortunately, my client wishes it to look like a typical GL book. if i could put it into two tables, that would make it so much easier! however, they wish for the summary band to be precisely after the last item in that category.plus they want to be able to move any line item append from the bottom to this category by drag and drop. i can calculate the amounts into a variable no problem.
my quam is that it looks as if i need to create this variable - then have the system create a temporary line item and place it into the grid. they do not seem to want any extra fields added to the table.
the example that I gave is how they wish the grid to look like. This is where it has me baffled. how can i append this line item exactly after a category. Plus if while in this screen for the summary group item to update with new values if the data changes from the other end of the office?
