I may try that workaround. I've noticed from lurking (and spending way too much time trying to make it work in a project) that grids make a pretty display, but cause development and production problems when you try to add, change and delete records in a child table. I would love to see a working example that doesn't use a third party product written in another language.
I guess what bothers me is ms in their vfp6 programmers manual makes it sound like it's rock solid technology. . . and it is . . . up to the point where you want to do some file maintenance.
