Thanks for the follow up. The slash is required when creating SPs in SQL*Plus or when running scripts under SQL*Plus. This basically tells Oracle to commit and compile the lines of code just submitted. Looks like Oracle does not follow their own standards with respect to their ODBC drivers. ANother reason I continue to use the ones from MS. How ironic.
