I like to use status bar, so in all my applications I use tricks like this. Also I show record 4 or 5000 for the grid (using its AfterRowColChange method). In most cases I can get rid of VFP messages for 99%. However, there are some cases, where these messages pollute status bar. I'm trying to chase these cases down...
