We currently run 3 instances of SQL Server 2000 on Windows Advanced Server 2000 on HP hardware. Server 1 is a full-time production box and server 2 is a part-time production box and hot fail-over. Box 3 is a dedicated reporting server. We now replicate data back and forth between 1 and 2 and push data to 3. Boxes 1 and 2 have 4G of RAM, box 3 has 2G, all have dual 1G processors, and between 30G and 50G of drive space. After six months we have 25G of data. We are having some performance issues with disk queue times, processor queue times, and mainly replication bringing the platform down that we are addressing by adding drive space (up to 80G to 1TB) and a raid 5 paradigm and a private network for replication. We are also considering a clustered setup ( our staff is divided ). Does anyone have experience on a cluster (good or bad) and what is you opinion how is performs against the standard stand alone server with a fail-over. Have you had any problems with implementation and or stability. Our platform is a 24/7 call processing station and needs to stay up.

Thanks for you opinions and experiences,
MLW
