Have you tried to use SQL Server "Profiler" tool to review what is the SQL Statement that SQL Server is receiving from VFP?

It could be that VFP is sending the wrong UPDATE command to SQL Server. I've seen this from time to time. In those case, I had to rebuild the view through code.
