Quite right. FoxPro is an interpreted language by nature, the & directive is an example of why people use interpreted languages - hence it should be viewed as a benefit. If you dont agree with this, try to write a serious, large scale, flexible data application in VC++ ..i'll see you 2 years and a few £100k down the road....
