Have leaped one hurdle with help from Scott King and others only to fall prey to another problem. Have been encountering "Fatal error: Exception code=C0000005" when I browse the web in an embedded _webbrowser4 instance of IE. The error only occurs on particular sites, for example when I try to run ebay's search utility...crash! But I have no problem performing the same actions running IE outside VFP6. Go figure... Have tried to do some research into this problem and found some references to Visual Studio service pack updates solving other VFP6 related problems (which generated this same error). No mention of the exact same circumstances but perhaps an update would help. I'm running Win98 w/ VFP6.EXE dated 6/16/1998 (v.6.0.8167.0). The SP4 reference file I downloaded lists VFP6.EXE as dated 5/11/2000 (v.6.0.8862.0). I can order the SP4 CD from Microsoft easily enough, but can anyone tell me if this should eliminate the C0000005 problem? SP5 recommends upgrading IE also but the _webview.vcx includes the _webbrowser4 class only (implies compatibility with the earlier IE only)...so I'm reluctant to go above SP4. Perhaps it's not appropriate for Win98 boxes anyway with it's Win 2000 compatibility. Well, if anyone knows anything useful about this, I'd appreciate some more help. Thanks, Bob
