can you provide the code anyway plus details on the VFP setup in both cases. I.e. what is the nature of the data, how is it stored/retrieved etc. I think we'll need much more info before your ? can be answered...

Dear Arne

After about 4 weeks trying to solve this problem I solved it. We have an .ini file with all our paths. I put a button on the form involved and I asked the customer to click on it which sent me memory dump of what is going on. I noticed that the path to the data = G:\\ so I asked the customer to delete one of the backslashes so the data path is G:\ and this solved the problem.
