Hi,

What I've got for this is:

SET TALK WINDOW NOWINDOW
SET TALK ON
..SQL QUERY..
SET TALK OFF

This gets the SQL progress bar to appear without any spurious messages that might appear from using SET TALK ON, because they get sent to a non existent window.
