The question I have here is what comments do you bring forward? Obvioulsy (at least to me) you can't bring them all forward. Your subclass code would be littered (hopefully < s >) with comments that had no value in the current method.

Do you bring only comments that precede the LPARAMETERS/PARAMETERS statement? What is the basis for that? Just because one developer might put comments explaining the parameters list before the actual parameters doesn't mean all programmers do. They might be explained immediately afterward. Who knows?

I like Doug's idea much better of incorporating the Ken Levy/Class Browser functionality into the main editor. That why it would only be a matter of a few keystrokes to get the comments from a parent class and copy them into the current method (if needed).
