There was an article by Edward Leafe in January 97 FoxPro Advisor, "Launch Updates of Your Application Automatically", - the Idae is to create an EXE module (size about 50K) in VFP which actually runs the user application (as .APP file) but before it checks, if there exist new APP version in one particular directory on the network and copies the new version to the workstation. So all you need - to place the new APP version somewhere, and when user runs the app next time - it will be the new one.
