Sorry, I got distracted & posted the reply before I cut & replaced the middle paragraph.

I was going to modify it to point out that Andrew did NOT say that there was a difference in the way classes & .PRGs were compiled, what he speculated was the lack of compilation (tokenizing) was for some reason not allowed in classes.

The original problem stated that compilation generated an error in a class, but not in a .PRG, so how could he compile both & compare.

My comments about Nancy's attitude still stand.
