I made a small test, you can do it:
Put your Listbox on your form, Right click on it and select Builder
on the builder, set to 2 columns, and enter the values: column1 description, column1 the return value
Click Ok
In Properties Window Set Boundcolumn=2

And the listbox returns the column2 value
