Kenny Rogers pitched very well for the Rangers, and Pedro Astacio gave up five runs and 11 hits in six innings. That was the difference. Only thing that kept the Rockies in the game was three errors (two from A-Rod at short). Besides, Pedro's not exactly the ace of the staff with a 6-10 record (sigh).

You know things aren't going your way when the Rocks trotted out three pinch-hitters in a row in the ninth against Jeff Zimmerman -- who promptly struck out two of them.
