Ah. I see. I just wanted to make sure that John saw it, since it was really help for his information. FWIW, I think the fairly standard way to handle that is to reply to the person who needs the info and say something like the following, "to add to the lame reply Nancy gave you (just kidding!), note that you can..." and send it to John. There's no need to cc: me since I'll watch the thread if I can. Just my personal opinion, it's rarely necessary to use the cc: feature of the UT, but that's a matter of personal preference.
