Just been looking for that, I don't think S7 is the correct one (though it may change from modem to modem). From all I've read, the 5 seconds appears to be fixed. I've looked at one or two manuals & can't find anyway of modifying that delay - the one thing I haven't been able to find so far is a detailed description of the Sportsters S registers.

I skipped a bit of this thread (I'll go back & look) but is there any possibility of using the , modifier - the delay on that is adjustable, but it would mean working out how long it takes before the phone is answered.
