>Hi George,

Thanks, Sergey. I have a feeling that "there's somethin' happenin' here and I don't know what it is...".< g > I neglected to mention that the Win98 drive is a shared drive (I'm accessing it from the Win2K box). However, it has a secondary hard drive that isn't shared and it happens when trying to create one there too.

It's a Novell network and last Thursday or Friday, some strange stuff started to occur. I've some remote parameterized views setup in a VFP database against SQL Server 7.0. Again, this is the Win98SE box. Suddenly, when trying to retrieve data from the backend, I started getting TCP/IP errors. The strange part is that it seem to occur only after I had mapped a drive to another server, and would stop if I: A.) Unmapped the drive; and B.) went into Network Neighborhood and disconnected the server completely.

It seemed unrelated to the original problem, but now I'm wonder if there's been some change to the network that's causing these.
