I assume this bug applies to all remote views because I have just spent the best part of a day playing with MSDE as the back end and it has the same problem.

Anyone know of a third party view designer that gets round the problem?

Yep you do. I suppose I'll have to create a prg to reset it everytime I change the view slightly to save retyping all the changes each time or create all the views on the fly (which defeats the object!).
