The basic concept is to specify the DynamicBackColor/DynamicForeColor of all columns so that each column highlights the cell for the current row. If all cells in the same row are highlighted, it looks like the entire row is highlighted.
You can download the GridHighlighter class (written by Nick N.) from the Download section. Even if you don't use it as is, you can look at how he does certain things and copy the techniques.
