I would say that VFP itself has no serious limitations. However the inconvenience is that this MS product is not a part of popular MS Office and usually the VFP run library should be installed on each PC to run a VFP applications.
Installation is easy to do while distributing your VFP application, and there are no limitations for distribution. But (as a rule) users know how to work with Access/Excel/Word and have a lot of useful options including recording macros, and MS Office is delivered with new PC. It is the main reason why some of my customers switched from VFP to VB.
