I sure hope it works out well for me, DVD-wise. 1 CD sure is more useful than 3.

The switching problem may well be related to some security and 1 other download I did from MS Windows Update site Sunday. No way to reverse those, unfortunately. I'll anxiously await my VFP 7 to see if the problem persists.

Thanks Mark

>Wow! I have been getting MDSN Library on DVD since it was first available. I have never had to do that. Besides the DVD option of the MSDN Library comes on just 1 CD which is a beautiful thing.
>
>I also just had to install the April 2001 Library from regular CD on a laptop that did not have a DVD drive. I had no CD switching problems with that install as well.

>>I just received "MSDN Library" for July, 2001.

>>I had ordered the DVD version but they sent the CD version. I called them and they will be sending the DVD along soon.

>>I had a bit of a problem doing the CD install. When it told me to insert the next CD, as soon as I pressed the CD-drive's eject button I got a blue screen instructing me to re-insert the CD labelled xxxx-xxxx or press escape to cancel.
>>
>>I reinserted the original one and ultimately went to Explorer, did an "eject" through the drive icon and proceeded. Had to do the same for CD#3 too.
>>
>>After it was installed I went to look for a bug regarding this NEW problem. Any other time I had been asked to install a 'next' CD I never had any problem.
>>
>>I didn't find one (but search qualification is truly a mystery to me) but I did come across a few problems regarding DVD-ROM version of MSDN, at least one stating that it was necessary to remove/reinstall Visual Studio 6 in order to resolve the problem!!! To me this is going way way WAY overboard.

>>
>>Has anybody using the MSDN DVD version had to go to that extent to get it to work properly? If that is common place, then I think I'll stick with the CD version.

>>Thanks,
