Thanks Lee - I will study the code you posted so I can see what's going on with the mover...

I am very much still learning VFP6 so I thought Effective might be the better of the two books for me - I guess I need both really - I still have a lot of study to do of Effective though. I find it hard really to find time to study as such - it's more a case of learning whilst developing - a bit scary really!!!
