It's just a matter of context :-), the bottom line of the original reply was to say that the use of the .NET technologys in the comparison was not a good example.

Compilers and interpreters both have there place, I like both and VFP being an interpreter doesn't bother me. If you gave people a native code compiler then it starts the next round of arguments - your code generator is not as good as my code generator ;-)
