Many thanks for the quick response...

Your lack of FPT file corruption is encouraging. Has this been in a network environment with a lot of concurrent users?

Also, reading through previous threads revealed conflicting views as to whether the 2GB limit applies to the DBF or FPT file? Are you sure it applies to the FPT? That could be a real issue in this case.
