>I would like to put a dropdown (combo box) that shows nothing to the left of it, it should only show a drop down list when a user clicks on the arrow. I've tried just shrinking the control to where there is little 'text' area showing, but it still looks a little odd. Does anyone know a way of doing this in VFP 3.0b? Is there another control like a combo box, but without the text portion? Thanks for the help.

You could create a custom control from the container class. Add a button with an image in it and your combo box. set the combo box to be invisible until the button is clicked. the trick would be to match position, size and appearance between the button and the combo box arrow.
