YES! Thank you, actually I had forgotten about differences in the type of buffering used. It looks as if I should look into this again. There is a lot of work ahead of me and this is a good a time as any to make these changes and test and retest.
The application was initially pieced together slowly while learning VFP at the same time. It was a litle rough going and most of the wrinkles have been smoothed out, however, since it was a learning experience, it is not a *well* written app, just a working app ;-) The changes I talked about above include logging features, error handling, and other underlying changes. I have a deadline of about 3 weeks to get things working before I hit my 3rd year of university. It is difficult keeping track of what you were working on and the things that you learned in 4 months during a summer, then go to school to leanr totally different "stuff", and then hit the code again.
