>I am doing a large inventory program that will require more than 3 screens of info. The user would like to move between the screens at will and be able to add/edit items from any screen. I have created a basic search/add form with all the key fields at the top (Manufacturer, Inventory Class, Part Number...) that allows the user to find a part using any of the key fields. It would be great if I could then just lay the other forms over top of the 1st form, with the key fields still visible, and have both active at the same time. Am I dreaming?

if you do go with forms, make them modeless (non-modal) so you can switch between forms. as an alternative to forms, consider putting your basic information and navigation controls on a base form and displaying your additional information in containers on that form. this simplifies reference
to any form properties that you are using, and the switch is quicker than
form loading/unloading.
