You can always consider moving to a n-Tier architechture using Web Connection. You can still use VFP on the front end, you also use VFP on the back end, but the corruption issues are some what reduced since all data access is done on the server, which is generally a nice falt tolerant machine.

Both Rick Strahl and Les Pinter have articles on there site about doing this.
