How many records actually get displayed in the list box once the filtering takes place? (Incidentally, I agree with Cetin that SQL should be used instead of filtering). VFP list boxes tend to be slow to begin with and become slower and less predictable past about 50 entries or so. If you are passing that limitation, you might want to consider using something more robust, like dbi Technologies toolkit, as an example.
