Our implimentation of it did, apparently. I'm not well-versed enough to say whether it was our fault, or an inherent fault of Java.

Yes, they are, but not necessarily due to some conspiracy to squash the competition. After having the most Java compatible browser and VM (as per third parties), and still getting sued, I could see Microsoft just washing their hands of the whole thing. I'm not in a position to know that this is the case, but it's probably what I'd do if I were in a position to do so.

Feel free to respond, but this is about as far as I care to go with this, considering the legal ramifications ("hey, Mom, the DOJ subpoenaed my email!")
