"But performance wise, it really lags" - could you be more specific? Is it slow in:

- app starting up
- forms opening
- saving data/changes
- etc.

What is your environment?

- Server hardware and OS
- Network speed (10- or 100-BaseT)
- Workstation hardware and OS

There are lots of possible reasons for "slow performance". I would say over the last 6 months every one has been addressed in at least 1 thread. Upgrade to a PUTM and you can do your own searches.
