Charlie,
We can start a new thread if you want, but can you explain a bit more about what a COM server, what DCOM does and when to use them?
Regards, Renoir
>Don't run your EXE through the network. Install it on the client machines and use UNCs (\\someserver\someshare) to get to the data on the network.

>Also, VFP is a fileserver database. To run a query, it will attempt to bring down a lot of data because the query must be run in the client process. To get around this, you can have a VFP application (COM server) running on the server that runs the queries in the server process and only returns the necessary data. You can use DCOM to connect to the COM server.
