Check for the original drivers that came with the printer, otherwise they are available at eltron.com. Use the drivers to install a Windows printer just as you would any other printer. I have not used Eltron, but Datamax, C-Itoh, Zebra, ect... and they also include barcodes that are accessable from the Windows printer setup section. These driver fonts allow access to the native barcode printing functions, so all sizes and aspect ratios are available. Currently, you are using a barcode font that will print to any Windows printer as a graphical element and this is the reason for the lack of control. If using the driver fonts, DO NOT encode the barcode information with starts, stops, and checksums (i.e. appending a "*" to start and stop a Code39 font printing) as the printer will compute these and add them for you. The down side to installing Windows printers is maintaining these printer setups on distributed software and they print slowly compared with directly accessing the printer.

>It is a 203 DPI thermal printer.

>and it works fine but maintaining the code is more difficult than having a GUI designed label or report. What about DBest Barcode fonts ?
