This solution worked prefectly, but it could use some follow on instruction. That way if anyone does a search on the problem later the instructions will be complete.
Open up SDT in the original project containing the 'Source' database.
Then and this is important. In the command window, close the database but leave the SDT window open. Size it to a convient size for copying.
Now open SDT again and this time travel to the 'Destination' database.
You may now drag tables from one instance to another.
When I first tried to do this I opened two complete VFP Windows. Mistake! Then I couldn't get two instances of SDT open in one VFP window. Finally, I discovered the Close Database XXXXXX and reopen SDT solution. This sounds obvious in retrospect but it did give me pause.
If you have any corrections, don't hesitate. I'm not proud.
Thanks again
Terry
It is impossible to make programs idiot proof. Idiots are too cleaver.
