So basically, if this fellow has dSalvage, if the file's on a local drive or NT/FAT drive and there's been no hard drive activity since the zap, he can recover. Elsewise if he has no good backup, he's probably in deep elephant poop (had to say it--saw "George of the Jungle" with my 5-year-old today).
