What do you expect? If the form is in teh client area, and teh client area moves, the form moves with it. Its like that accross Windows.

>So I ask. Can I disable the "feature" where the toolbar brushes the forms out of the way?

A couple of ways, the way we do it is create a long toolbar with a nonvisible button accross the top, basically, it looks like a "potential" tool bar. When I create a toolbar, I shrink the long one, add the new one next to it, and get rid of the old one, and move the new one all teh way over.

Its a pretty picky/tricky sequence, but I managed to get it to look nice, and never move the forms at all (no visible movement of the client area).

Otherwise, you could consider setting Desktop to .F. for your forms, or use Top Levels, and they won't be contained in the Client area, so anything that happens (toolbars are added, or the VFP _screen moves) won't affect your forms. Once again, since resizing the main VFP window won't have any effect on your forms, you might not to do some tricky stuff to get it to like nice. But I'm sure it can be done (almost sure :-)

Good luck!
