are you refering to using the microsoft tree view control ?
you will need one field in your table to serve as the 'key value'
for structuring the tree and presumably a description field to display.
(it is doubtful that your key field is something you want to
display to your users). incidentally, if the key field is not
already character, you will need to convert it to character to
use as a key value.

loading the tree is more akin to drawing a circle than inventing
a wheel. if you need an example of an algorithm to load a tree
structure, reply.
