>Has anyone experienced a problem with Windows 2000 upgrade using NTFS? (This is not a fast CPU problem). FoxPro 2.6 just flashes and disappears without an error. Our Windows 2000 installed PCs have no problems. It's just the ones that have been upgraded from Windows 9x that have problems. Any Ideas???

Hello, this is an NT specific problem. (and also Win 2000)

You have to add a key/value in the registry. This is documented at msdn.microsoft.com in a knowledge base article.
Search for Article ID: Q168396
PRB: Windows NT 4.0 May Close FoxPro for MS-DOS Application

You must add a new value to the Windows NT 4.0 registry. Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Wow key, add a new value, DisableVme, by following the steps listed below:

Start Registry Editor (Regedt32) and go to the following subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Wow

From the Edit menu, select Add Value. Enter the following Value name:

DisableVme

In the Add Value dialog box, make sure the Date Type is REG_SZ and click OK.

Enter the following in the String Editor dialog box: 1

Shut down Windows NT, turn off the computer's power and then restart the computer and boot into Windows NT.
