>>Are you using Forte from Sun as your IDE? You might also check out the free versions of JBuilder and IBM's Visual Age as well.

>Yeah, I'm using Forte. I'm either going to upgrade to 256M or look at some other environments. The Borland environment has gotten good reviews. And, Borland had a programming contest recently in their various environments. The programs available in Java showed a lot of its capability.

We looked mostly at IBM's Visual Age and JBuilder. After loading and using both of the free versions, as well as some other other evaluation, we(meaning I mostly)went with JBuilder. I think that the fact that it's written completely in Java is pretty cool and I like a LOT of the features. Too many to list!

Yea, WHATEVER! I clicked on a thread over there on the VFP forum this morning and the message I read was a couple of guys (good guys I'll toss in) were comparing notes about their PC's capabilities. That looked like complete thread drift to me. Gotta preserve the integrity of the forum you know! <g>

Nope, this isn't the first post. Use the calendar feature to look back at some prior weeks/months. No doubt that there are not many messages here though. You're right, kind of a desert.
