The last person I saw holding a "Will work for food" sign was standing in front of a store with a "help wanted" sign in the window. When that was pointed out to him he moved to a different location. But, that was then, and now our homeless shelters are over loaded, most trying to escape the heat because they cannot afford the electric bill that would result from running an air conditioner. The Nebraska announced a 56 Million dollar shortfall in taxes and the gov has called a special meeting of the legislators. Things are looking too bright. Gambling tends to increase during hard times because desparate people feel they have nothing to lose. My daughter is a couple of weeks away from giving birth to her first child. Her husband is in a dot.com business. Scary.
