In order to close VFP you must do a cleanup and garbage collection. You must close open references to oibjects, do a CLOSE and CLEAR, etc.

look in the manual for ON SHUTDOWN that will let uou provide a place to clean up.

You can also do that in your calling prg, just after READ EVENTS.
