>You may want to consider Kylix with PostgreSQL if you are into rolling your own business apps into a turnkey solution. If you know C++ then KDevelop 2.2 against PostgreSQL is a great solution. 99% of the cash ends up in your pockets, the client pays you for your app and you can install Linux on their PCs as a free service. A win-win for both you and your clients.

Already ahead of you, Jerry. This is a powerful combo.

PostgreSQL is very impressive and should not be taken lightly as an alternative to DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server. I'm hoping that Red Hat can come to better terms with Frank Batten Jr. to fold PostgreSQL's dev team in Red Hat. I'd hate to see any code forking with the Red Hat Database. Funny thing is that Frank Batten Jr. was Red Hat's first private investor (he still owns 17% of the company) and resigned from the board when Red Hat refused to offer PostgreSQL for fear of pissing off IBM and Oracle. I'm glad things are changing because PostgreSQL needs a good distro and Red Hat's RHN is awesome.
